Running shoes what to buy.

Many patients are confused when trying to buy shoe for running, this is not made any easier by the variety of shoes and brands on offer.

There is also a lot of confusion about terminology “Neutral”, “Pronation” and “Supination”.

When someone runs they tend to land in a neutral position and then pronate to absorb the shock of foot strike.

When buying a running shoe a comfortable neutral or anti-pronation shoe (Dual Density or Motion Control) is what I recommend my patients to buy.
